Drawing Winter Trees in Ink

Celebrate the quiet beauty of winter with artist Saraiya Kanning in this drawing class focused on the expressive forms of bare trees. Using graphite pencils and ink, participants will explore techniques for rendering bark textures, branch structures, and winter light through line, shading, and composition. All levels welcome – whether you’re new to drawing or looking to deepen your observation skills, this class offers space to connect with nature and creativity. Artists as young as 7 are welcome with an adult. Students can brings their own supplies from the list below or bring an additional $5 supply fee to class.
Prepaid registration is required.

Supply List:
- Pilot V5 Precise Ink Pen
- Medium sized round brush, soft-haired, like Taklon or other brush meant for watercolor (size 13 recommended)
- 140lb. smooth/hot press watercolor paper
- Any pencil and eraser that you like
